Busy IT services company seeks an experienced and personable field service technician. This position will allow the right candidate the ability to independently problem solve and implement solutions for a wide range of customers and IT platforms.
Job Title: Computer Field Service Tech.
Description: Computer Field Service Technician will travel to various locations throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties and NYC to install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software.
Skills Required: PC skills (all Microsoft OS’s and Apple OS X) including the ability to load software, configure or use various hardware, and follow technical instructions. Experience installing and supporting hardware, troubleshooting dial-up issues and network connectivity.
Must be enthusiastic, eager to learn and have excellent customer relations skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license, car and be bondable.
Skills Preferred: A+ certification, MSCE, mild programming experience, Mac (pre- and post-OS X), Unix/Linux, Cisco, Fortinet, PSA experience, RMM experience.
Location: Various installation sites throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties and NYC.
Scheduled Hours: This is an on-call position. Travel to/from clients should be expected. Work generally takes place during standard business hours.
